Hello.

I am sitting here, on my bed, at 2:30 on a monday in the half term, in my jammies, thinking about why I started blogging, and the truth is, I don’t know why I did, I just did and I enjoyed it. I still do.

I am also wondering why I haven’t done a post in so long, or why I haven’t made a video for ever, and I don’t have an answer. Whether its for a legit reason or if its just out of apathy I don’t know. Apologies.

So. 2009, I’m not gonna lie, it’s been probably the worst start to a year I have ever seen. There has been so many deaths of people I have known, been taught by or been mentored by.

To start off the depressing proceedings was the death of a great friend of mine, who I greatly respected and who I would call my mentor, I have already talked about this before so enough. Also there was a teacher from our school who was only 43 died when he got blown off a cliff when he went out walking. Some people I knew saw their mum die in the last days of december and also two of my mates friends died in a car crash at the beginning of the year. Its been like an episode of skins, its been awful.

But im trying to be optimistic and blog more, and I wanted to start something knew this year. So ladies and gentlemen, I present to you:

vlogface & blogface

I guess its just something new.

I am stopping using AdamKayesBlog because its boring and it was a pretentious idea in the first place, so I am making new videos and I will put them on the vlogface channel when I can be bothered.

Blogface is a new daily blog that I am starting today and I am going to hopefully keep it updated daily. I don’t know how I am going to do it when im on holiday and stuff, but oh well!

Anyway.

Hello all.

First and foremost, a happy new year from AdamIsKaye.com!

I hope you didn’t get too drunk out of your heads!

This new year has been very shocking for me, as my piano teacher, a incredibly nice and talented man who i’ve known for 6 years, died on december 28th. I only found out last night, and I have to say, its not a nice feeling knowing that your (I hate to say such a cliché) mentor and good friend died before he got to see the new years fireworks. I am just happy he didn’t miss christmas. 

It was just so unexpected, he had nothing wrong with him, and its weird to think that only 2 weeks ago I was sitting down with him joking and playing music with him. I feel so sorry for his wife and kids. If you are reading this, just know that this is the way he would have wanted to go, fast and unpainfully, but I know how dreadful this must be for you and for that i’m very sorry.

Sorry for writing a serious blog, I’m not being pretentious, I just need to write this down on paper for me to feel ok.
